The Virginia Initiative (VAI) is a group of citizens based in Norfolk, Virginia.[1] It is a branch of the Initiative Collective, originally co-founded by Deaths Head Moth and Ira Ui'Raghallaigh.[citation needed]
History
The Virginia Initiative was the second established branch of the Initiative, founded in June 2011. The mission of the group as stated in their words:
- "We are individuals organized towards achieving peacekeeping objectives and humanitarian missions. This will translate into a variety of non-monetary services as unfolding events demand. Our primary goal will always be to help those in the most need to the highest ethical standard and to the maximum effect."[2]
