Apocalypse Meow is an American Real life superheroine based in Portland, Oregon.
History
In 2006, Allison King (née Larson) discovered that her (now ex-)husband IIIya King (aka Zetaman) was patrolling the streets of Portland by himself. She was worried for his safety and asked him to stop, but he refused. When she realized how important Portland's homeless were to him, she teamed up with him, and named herself Apocalypse Meow, after a popular Manga series.
They found others in the Pacific Northwest that were involved in the Real Life Superhero movement, and together, Zeta and Meow formed a team called The Alternates. They met with other teams, patrolled the streets, participated in charities and donated their time and resources to help Portland's less fortunate. They appeared together in the ""Superheroes"" documentary on HBO, but later divorced in 2011. The Alternates were disbanded soon afterward.
Post-divorce, Apocalypse Meow formed a small, short-lived Portland team called The Rose City Rebellion. Apocalypse Meow still resides in the Portland area and is on hiatus until further notice.
