From Instagram: I was spotted out in the wild! 😂 This gentleman stopped me while I was walking downtown and let me know that I'm apparently Facebook famous now. I'm not on Facebook, but if it helps bring attention to the issue of homelessness in this city, I'm all for it! Speaking of, I was able to help out a few homeless neighbors tonight, including Michael, who I've seen out here several times now. It's always good to check in on him and see how he's doing. Another older homeless gentleman I was able to help told me he's been out on the street for only a few days now, and his wife and grandkids are in a motel currently. He's trying to make what he can to keep them off the street, and he just heard back from a business in town about a part time position there, so please send your good vibes, luck, or whatever you believe in his way. Interactions like that remind me that homelessness can happen to anyone, and we're all more interconnected than we realize. Please stay warm, look out for each other, and stay safe out there.
