The Virginia Initiative (VAI) was a group of Real life superheroes based in Norfolk, Virginia.[1] It was a branch of the Initiative Collective. It is currently inactive.
History
The VAI was the second established branch of the Initiative, founded in June 2011.[2] Originally co-founded by Deaths Head Moth and Ira Ui'Raghallaigh, the mission of the group, as stated in their word, was:
"We are individuals organized towards achieving peacekeeping objectives and humanitarian missions. This will translate into a variety of non-monetary services as unfolding events demand. Our primary goal will always be to help those in the most need to the highest ethical standard and to the maximum effect."
On August 17, 2017 it was announced that the VAI would be going on a brief hiatus, from which they seem to have never returned.
