Civil Defender was previously known as "The Variable." Under this name, he took his place in the RLSH community in September of 2013. He followed several members of P.A.T.C.H. in Chicago, IL and joined them for a homeless outreach mission.
"The Variable" was featured in a documentary on RLSH in 2013, and was also mentioned in a Chicago Tribune article in January of 2014.[1].
He was a participant in Chicago HOPE, 2018 and 2019.
