I spoke with Michael just a little bit ago, and he is safe! Again, thank you so much for looking out like this. And @ra_elllllo, you just made my night. Thank you. 👊 Tonight was without a doubt my single best night of outreach. I completely emptied my bag, and before heading home, I came across a few other people who needed my help by the transit station, so I ran over to my car, pulled it around, and used it as a mobile outreach station. I was able to help a young woman who was waiting for a police escort to one of the women's shelters. She was distraught and suffering, so I gave her plenty of food and supplies and talked with her, got her a little bit more calm before the officer arrived. I also came across a family at the bus station that has a home but is currently going through severe economic hardship. All of the girls were with their guardian, Millie, and I was able to talk with the family a while and distract the little ones from what they were going through. @emilie_siler, thanks to you I was able to feed and supply an entire family and several other homeless neighbors. @kbwiener, thanks to you and @uwforsyth, I was able to give that family clothing and socks to keep them warm and dry. @llanders811, thanks to you I was able to give their littlest girl a cute hat with a cat on it when she asked for a toy. All of you are true heroes. I'm not going to lie, it broke my heart seeing that family in that position, and it reminded me of my own upbringing, when I learned to live without. It was hard. But more than that, it was incredibly fulfilling. I might not be able to take them out of their situation, but thanks to all of you, I was able to help them out quite a bit tonight. I was able to tell Millie that she was doing a great job, that she was an incredibly strong person. And maybe that was enough for tonight. Stay safe out there. Feb 6 2020
