Rook is an American Real Life Superhero in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a member of the Arizona Initiative.

    History

Rook first appeared (on Facebook) as a Real-Life Superhero in April of 2012, conducting outreach patrols in Phoenix, AZ.

In August of 2014, Rook became President of Meaningful Magic Corporation, a nonprofit focused on providing magic shows themed with hope and empowerment free of charge to the underserved and at risk.

On February 24th, 2017, Rook became an official member of the Arizona Initiative, a branch of The Initiative Collective.

When on outreach patrols, Rook described his costume as such:

    • A dress shirt, usually white (keeping with the bichromatic theme of the chessboard)
    • A vest, sometimes brown leather, sometimes black suit, depending on the mission and mood.
    • Blue jeans....I need the slacks for work!
    • A brown leather fedora
    • A specially designed fanny-pack/holster with a patch (on order) with a design inspired by Ebony Fox's costume suggestion with the motto "Reach Across the Board" at the top and "Here to Help" at the bottom.
    • Black high-top steel-toed shoes (on order)
    • A silver signet ring with a chess rook.
