The DoomWatch Patrol is a group of Real Life Superheroes from Salt Lake City, Utah.
They aim to "establish a legitimate, tactical crime prevention group that will provide both legal, drug identification, and basic self defense training to those who choose to participate. Doomwatch patrols the streets of Salt Lake to inspire the people to do good things and improve the community, in a way that is noticeable to the public, gives intimidation, and feeds that raging nerd inside of you. We patrol to deter crime, follow first responder rules, intervene only when necessary and report all crime to the local SLCPD."[1]
History
The group was formed after the Black Monday Society temporarily disbanded in 2013. That group's founder, Dave Montgomery, noticed that even though heroes were still patrolling the streets, there was no longer a set group. Montgomery contacted FlameWing and HellHawk, and gave them the name "The DoomWatch Patrol". Officially founded on June 2, 2014[2], the group patrols on a bi-weekly basis and have even started their own web series.
