The Virginia Initiative (VAI) is a group of American citizens based in Norfolk, Virginia. It is a branch of the Initiative Collective.
History
The Virginia Initiative was the second established branch of the Initiative, founded in June 2011. Originally co-founded by Deaths Head Moth and Ira Ui'Raghallaigh, the mission of the group is as stated in their words: "We are individuals organized towards achieving peacekeeping objectives and humanitarian missions. This will translate into a variety of non-monetary services as unfolding events demand. Our primary goal will always be to help those in the most need to the highest ethical standard and to the maximum effect."
