The California Initiative: San Francisco (CAI:SF) is a group of Real Life Superheroes based in San Francisco, California. They are part of a coalition of similarly-named teams called The Initiative Collective.
History
NightBug and Rock N Roll co-founded the California Initiative on August 18, 2011. The CAI was the third branch of the Initiative to be founded, and the first in California.
It later spawned sister branches in Los Angeles in 2012, and both Oakland and Southern California in 2017, respectively.
After the formation of the Oakland branch, Aaron Almanza (aka Shadarko) took over leadership of the SF branch, while NightBug and Rock N Roll assumed responsibility for the Oakland branch. Both still work closely together.
