The California Initiative: SoCal was a group of Real Life Superheroes based in Irvine in southern California. They are part of a coalition of similarly-named teams called The Initiative Collective.
History
Doctor Mystery founded the California Initiative: SoCal on August 22, 2017.[1] It was the fourth branch to have been founded in California.
In July of 2020, it was announced that Spectral Hawk would be joining the SoCal team and assisting Doctor Mystery with leadership duties.[2]
In October of 2021 the SoCal Initiative officially changed its focus to Irvine, CA, under Spectral Hawk's leadership. In April of 2023, Spectral Hawk officially withdrew his membership from Initiative Collective, leaving the team with no members. It has since been inactive.
