The Xtreme Justice League (XJL) is an American group of Real Life Superheroes based in San Diego, California. The XJL currently has chapters in various cities in addition to its original branch.

    History

The Xtreme Justice League was first founded in 2006 by Mr. Xtreme to try to prevent crime in San Diego, California. Their mission statement is below, as provided in their own words:

We currently patrol around San Diego County, doing patrols anywhere from just north of the border to as far north as L.A. on occasion. We do everything from standard crime patrols, large campaigns, public service announcements, community outreach, and homeless outreach.
We try to be an integral part of our community and more than anything we want to see our community a safe place. We have a very diverse group ranging from people with security backgrounds to full time students. We all have our reasons for doing this, from past traumas, to being inspired by superhero movies, to just wanting to do something worth being proud of. At the end of the day we want to make a difference.

In addition to media attention of the group and its members, the XJL has been highlighted by Tom Cruise via Facebook, in a post designed to reference his movie "Jack Reacher," as similar to vigilantes or real life superheroes: [1]

The XJL regularly enlist the aid of other RLSH to assist with outreach and to deal with larger issues, often collaborating with RLSH groups such as the California Initiative: San Francisco and California Ronin.

    Death of Rouroni

Rouroni, a member of the group, passed away in a fatal car accident on May 25, 2012, killing four people (Including Rouroni) and injuring three. His death prompted an outpouring of grief from the RLSH community for his passing. His fellow XJL members in life served as his pallbearers at his funeral.

    Satellite Chapters

The original San Diego XJL has spawned several satellite Chapters. Their locations and Chapter leaders are listed below:
